Why use Handa for Advocacy Qualification Training?

Advocacy Qualification training from Handa comes at a fully inclusive price – with no hidden extras! It includes all training, online training materials and resources, individual on-site and remote assessor support, registration fees, verifier costs and certification on completion.

As advocates we like to give you options! We have two payment options for the Level 4 in Independent Advocacy Practice.

One off non-refundable payment of £1,195 (+ VAT)*

The traditional route – pay the price of the course up front and you know what you will have to pay!

Quarterly subscription of £275 (+ VAT) (up to maximum payment of £1,375 (+ VAT*))

With our standard subscription option, you only pay for the time you take to complete the independent advocacy qualification training! The sooner you finish, the sooner you can stop your quarterly subscription payments. You also know you won’t pay more than £1,375 (+ VAT)* whatever happens.

The subscription option offers you a safety net, so you don’t lose out if your advocate decides to leave midway through their qualification! If you use the subscription option, you can simply stop paying when they go. For example, if they leave after 6 months you have only spent £550 (+ VAT), not the full cost!

*The price is for the three mandatory plus one optional unit. Additional units will increase the one off non-refundable payment and the quarterly subscription maximum payment cost.

We provide 2 years support, but most of our advocates will complete the qualification in 12–18 months. The course is designed with the expectation that advocates will complete their independent advocacy qualification training in accordance with the Care Act statutory guidance.

Workplace support – our excellent reputation is built on developing, observing, and assessing advocates in their workplace. Many providers won’t be offering this level of support!

We are independent and will not be applying for your advocacy contracts. We only offer training, development, and consultancy services to the health and social care sector, and have no intention of seeking your advocacy contracts.

We have provided training and assessment in independent advocacy for many years covering all forms of statutory and non-statutory independent advocacy.

We offer a mix of modern training options which allow a learner to plan their own learning, and access materials as often as they wish. We deliver stimulating and engaging independent advocacy qualification training courses, delivered with up-to-date content. Not only will the course guide a learner through the qualification content, but it will also aim to keep them aware of recent developments and issues in the role.

A learner can access their course at any time and from any location. So long as you can access the internet, you can access your course materials and obtain support from your individual nominated assessor.

Our focus is on what you do in your role. Whenever possible we will assess your skills and knowledge by observations, discussions, group work and real work activities. All qualifications require written work, but we look where possible for alternative methods to assess your competency.
