The Professional Recognition Award is an exciting opportunity for Leaders and Managers to gain a City & Guilds accredited qualification that recognises their excellence.

The Professional Recognition Award is suitable for Leaders and/or Managers with a proven track record who now wish to obtain professional recognition via an internationally recognised qualification.

  • Counter Terrorism Security Management (Levels 4 and 6)
  • Information Technology (Level 4)
  • Security and Risk Management Consultants (Level 5)

Our most popular route is Leadership and Management, but whatever route you decide to take, all the Professional Recognition Awards share the same six Standards:

We offer the Professional Recognition Award at the following levels:

  • Level 4 – suitable for first-line Managers (Supervisory) – further details here
  • Level 5 – suitable for Team Leaders/Managers (Operational) – further details here
  • Level 6 – suitable for Service Managers (Strategic) – further details here
  • Level 7 – suitable for Senior Management Team/CEOs (High Level Strategy) – further details here

Successful candidates receive two Awards:

  • City & Guilds qualification, regulated and recognised by Ofqual, and
  • Post-nominal letters that can be used for life

Those achieving a Professional Recognition Award are granted appropriate, internationally recognised post-nominal letters:

  • Level 4 – Licentiateship of City & Guilds – LCGI
  • Level 5 – Affiliateship of City & Guilds – AfCGI
  • Level 6 – Graduateship of City & Guilds – GCGI
  • Level 7 – Member of City & Guilds – MCGI

The Professional Recognition Award typically takes 3-6 months to acquire via assessment of a portfolio of evidence but we offer up to 9 months support.

We can offer the Professional Recognition Award at the following all-inclusive cost:

  • Level 4 – £875 (+VAT)
  • Level 5 – £985 (+ VAT)
  • Level 6 – £1,095 (+VAT)
  • Level 7 – £1,315 (+VAT)

Our hugely experienced Tutors/Assessors will support the candidate remotely and, in their workplace, to construct a portfolio to the required standard and assess their evidence.

A portfolio will often include the following types of evidence:

  • Reflective statements
  • CV and references
  • Professional discussions with your assessor
  • Work records including performance reviews/appraisals/supervisions
  • Work related projects showing how you managed significant change
  • Training records/CPD
  • Completion of documents and/or policies
  • Communication records
  • Previous qualifications
  • Minutes of meetings
  • Statements from customers and/or colleagues
