If you require referrer guidance for independent advocacy support and are handling referrals regarding the provision of social care, accommodation, or healthcare, then this online course will provide clarification and better understanding as to when and why a referral should be made for an Independent Advocate.

This online course will identify the criteria to be applied for all the main statutory advocacy roles – Care Act Advocate, Independent Mental Capacity Advocate (IMCA), Relevant Persons Representative (RPR), and Independent Mental Health Advocate (IMHA). It will also cover entitlements to advocacy for children and young people.
